What is some home remedies for coughing from allergies?

What is some home remedies for coughing from allergies?
What are some home remedies for a cough? I am taking Sudafead PE which helped break the stuff up but when i get up in the morning I am coughing really bad and can barely breathe for my throat and stuff being coated with the drainage. What is some stuff I can use that is usually around the house?

Honey often helps.
Sudafed PE should not help, theoretically, as it is a decongestant (shrinks the swelling of the lining of your nose). If your cough is truly caused by allergies, a better choice would be loratidine (Claritin) or diphenhydramine (Benadryl).

Are there any herbal remedies that work for bipolar disorder?

I know that there are some that are recommended for depression – St. John’s Wort, for example – but do these remedies run the same risk as antidepressants for people with bipolar – that is, do they make them manic? (Please bear in mind that I have already had that reaction to an antidepressant, so I might be susceptible to it).

Are there any herbal remedies that are safe and recommended for people with bipolar disorder?

Yes, the most common ones are St. John’s Wort, Valerian, and Chamomile, which is also used for folks sensitive to St. John’s Wort.

Not herbal – but I’ve heard acupuncture works as well.

I haven’t been able to find any information on herbal remedies causing manic episodes – but I wouldn’t think so, since they don’t work the same way as antidepressants. Just be mindful of drug interactions.

what home remedies do you know to get rid of sickness such as the comon flu?

I have had a cold for 2 days and am tired of sneezing and always feeling hot. I took a ice cold shower but that didn’t help, I made steamed rice to inhale the aroma but that didn’t help, i used vicks rub but that did nothing and im getting ready to call it quits. Any old home remedies like a certaine type of soup or something? Ill do anything. Ill do the cough syrup, a home remedie, anything.

Put the rinds of 1 lemon,
1 grapefruit, 1 orange,
some sugar about 1/2 a cup,
add 2 cups water…bring to a
boil. Turn off heat add some
cinnamon…Drink it warm like
a tea. It will sweat the cold out of you.

Natural Healing: Old Home Remedies

Before the 1980′s in the United States,  if you went to see a doctor, more often than not you were prescribed a old home remedies! Now days most medical doctors in the United States don’t think along these lines. The drug companies dictate your treatment, not doctors! But of the rest of the world this is not so.The World Health Organization reports that 80% of the world’s population uses herbal and natural treatments as their primary form of health care.
The controversy surrounding old home remedies and medical home remedies have been raging for many years. From my perspective it is unnecessary, and I am sure this is based on the number of years I have been studying in this field. It is unfortunate that so many health providers and others both in and out of the health care field believe there is no scientific basis for herbal or other natural treatment approaches. Hopefully some of the information presented to you here will assist you and your health care provider to better understand how “Natural Healing Remedies” can be beneficial to health and well being.
For medical home remedies the focus is to create health. We look at symptoms, method of treatment, therapeutic products, therapeutic modalities, emotions, and responsibility in a way that differs from current medical intervention. The Harvard School of Public Health has reported that only 20% of medical treatments are proven to be effective. This leaves a very large chasm of fewer effective treatments prescribed to patients. This may be one of the reasons so many people are looking for help away from the medical system as it is today. Another reason may be the more than 100,000 drug reactions and deaths yearly from prescription medications. As the number of people moving away from mainstream medicine grows, the effort to limit and control access to old home remedies and treatments becomes more limited. Doctors resist, insurance companies resist, and government resists. Pharmaceutical companies buy up herbal and vitamin producers, standardize products, and create synthetic products, while telling the public these are “herbal remedies”. It is interesting to note that many of these standardized products are made by selective extraction or concentrating of a single constituent. They and processed with acetone, benzene, methyl or butyl alcohol, carbon tetrachloride, and others, which harm the environment, and the person using the product. The public is also told that there is no scientific support for herbal or other natural treatments. Thousands of research articles have been published for many years, establishing the benefits of natural treatments and whole herb remedies.
On this website Natural healing remedies, we offer many old home remedies that have worked and have been around for hundreds of years!
