i know this may seem like a silly question. but i have heard rumors of chinese herbal therapy for cancer sufferers.

There are no effective herbal treatments against cancer. Those who say otherwise do not understand what cancer is and its operates. Cancer is not one disease but, the collection of diseases with a common symptom of uncontrolled cell growth. Each set of genetic mutations and the cell type affected define a disease grouped into the cancer description. There are hundreds perhaps thousands of different diseases to cancer. There is no one "cure" for all those diseases. Treatments are specific for the cancer type.

I realize I do need medication, but I am very hesitant about putting all those chemicals in my body, and I despise the pharmaceutical industry. I know there are lots of herbal remedies out there for helping with other ailments, but those are more physical then mental. Help?

The only natural things I can suggest are: meditating, music, weed, friends, and nature. Other than that, there’s not many natural ailments to be found. Good luck with your depression, and the answer usually can always be found within our selves, really.

i use olive oil, aloe vera juice, 2 eggs, lime juice, avocado, 4-5 tea tree oil drops and blend it all in and put it on leave it for at least half an hour with a heat cap on. It’s great since it doesn’t run as much because it becomes fomy. Good luck

Try reading and using:

"Fit for Life" (a book. Changing your diet is one of the first steps.

Dr. Weil’s, "Optimum Health Book" is excellent.

Find a Naturopath in your area. A good one will start with a series of tests which will include, hair samples, stool samples, urine samples, bloodwork, diet background, family health background, what meds you are currently taking and info about your support system at home.

None of these will help you if YOU are not open to healing and want to take full responsibility to help yourself be rid of the cancer. No matter who you see or what you use (Western medicine, other alternatives or both), YOU have to do the work.

Focus on your inner self first. How do you feel about having this DIS EASE…Are you afraid, angry, depressed? A positive vision and meditation/prayer will help you do the work needed to help yourself.

In other words, are the use of herbs and dietary suppliments considered part of homeopathy?

No, but this is a common misunderstanding in the AltMed community

Homeopathy is the philosophy credited to Samuel Hahnemann, a German doctor 200 years ago, though he borrowed a lot of his ideas from other sources. He claimed that "like cures like"….that is, if you have a fever, give something that causes fever. (This is basically a subtype of sympathetic magic, wherein for example, rhinoceros horn may be used to treat impotence because of the superficial resemblance of the horn to the erect penis) He also claimed that the more dilute a solution was, the more potent. Homeopaths dilute their active ingredients to ridiculous amounts. Anything beyond 12C dilution however has almost no chance of containing a single molecule of the original ingredient.

Homeopathy is completely implausible based on the laws of chemistry and physics, the dose response curve, and the germ theory of disease…all of which have been further developed and confirmed scientifically since Hahnemans day. It is best simply to think of homeopathy as magic.

Herbal remedies are quite different. Plants and herbs may contain dozens or even hundreds of chemicals, and some of those may…by pure evolutionary fluke…have some physiological effects. These effects may be beneficial or harmful. The majority of plants of course have no effects at all, as they evolved their chemicals for their own "reasons" under evolutionary selection pressure. Medicinal herbs and plants have been used for thousands of years, and as much as 25% of modern pharmaceuticals are derived or isolated from plant sources.

Supplements would generally include things like vitamins and minerals. These too are all vital for good health and proper functioning of our physiology.

I actually don’t think herbs and supplements should be considered "alternative medicine", but perhaps in some separate sub-category. They should NOT be considered part of homeopathy UNLESS the herbs/supplements are diluted as per homeopathic principles.

Homeopathy is just superstitious nonsense. Unfortunately, the term "homeopathic" is being used more in a generic sense by various makers of supplements etc to implly that it is safe. It is also a clever way for them to get around licensing as homeopathic products aren’t subject to the same standards as real products.

my aunt has cancer and it’s in the most advanced stages and my dad wants me to look for natural remedies to cure it or help reduce it so if you know any plz let me know

The trouble with asking about ‘natural remedies’ is that you will be given advice such as your second answerer has given you. That is, well-meaning advice from people who know very little about cancer but have read about a so-called alternative treatment on the internet.

Apricot seeds is one of the few ‘alternative’ cancer treatments that has been thoroughly tested, and not only has it been found to be completely ineffective against cancer but it’s also dangerous as it contains cyanide. And there is no scientific evidence that marijuana shrinks tumours.

The sad thing is, wherever there’s cancer there’s a ruthless charlatan eager to part desperate people from their cash in exchange for ineffective and sometimes dangerous ‘alternative’ ot ‘natural’ treatments.

If there was a natural treatment that worked few of us would have cancer and nobody would die of it.

I suggest that if you are interested in a particular alternative treatment you do a search on this site for facts before investing money and hope in an ineffective and possibly dangerous treatment

I have light yellow teeth and I brush my teeth at least 2 times a day. I sometimes drink tea and rarely any coffee. School starts in less than a week or about, and I want my teeth to be a little bit more white. Any home remedies without going to the dentist or having to go to the store to buy something?

If not, then please list any things I can buy for a CHEAP price that is very effective.

The baking soda solution in the previous answer is a good one, but you can make it better by mixing the baking soda with a little hydrogen peroxide, which you can buy for very little in any pharmacy,

Make a paste with the peroxide and the baking soda, and brush with that. Just be realistic. There is a reason why the makers of expensive commercial products can get away with charging so much. They work better than cheap home remedies. Still, if your teeth are only light yellow, baking soda and hydrogen peroxide may be all you need, so it iis worth giving that a try.

So recently my pap smear come up with some abnormal cells, and I’m going to have an appointment for colposcopy next week.
In the meanwhile, I was wondering,
if anyone knows any remedies to prevent cancer?
I know garlic is one (stops any kind of cancer growth by up to 50%), but if there are others you know and would like to share..?

You have been misinformed. There is no scientific evidence that garlic stops cancer growth. And if it did, then as someone who consumed garlic daily I certainly wouldn’t have wound up with an aggressive, advanced cancer.

Nobody knows what causes cancer, so nobody can tell you how to prevent it.

All the answers you have, and any more you are likely to get telling you of remedies, have/will come from people with no experience of cancer. They mean well, but are usually just repeating something they#ve heard or read on the internet.

Some, of course, are trying to sell you something.
