Home remedies to get rid of the smell of cat pee?

I swear I can smell cat pee somewhere. But I cant find the source or any spots. I need to get rid of it before I puke. Any home remedies?
I cannot find the source and no one else in the house can smell it.

Home Remedy for cat urine smell. This is a great recipe for removing cat urine odor from carpet. Start by blotting up as much of the urine as possible with old rags or paper towels. Next mix 3 parts water with one part vinegar and saturate the spot.Dry thoroughly using the same method mentioned above. Once dry, sprinkle the area with Baking Soda. Next mix ¾ cup of 3% hydrogen peroxide solution with one tsp. dish detergent and sprinkle over the Baking Soda. Try this first on a small inconspicuous area of the carpet to make sure the hydrogen peroxide won’t discolor your carpet. Next, use your fingers or an old brush to work the Baking Soda in. I’ve used an old hairbrush with little bits of plastic over the tips with good results. Allow this to dry and vacuum it up. If there’s still a slight odor when done, lather, rinse and repeat.

Any home remedies for breaking up chest congestion when you have a cold?

I did the zycam-medicine thing, I drink plenty of fluids like soups and teas all day, but I have this dry cough and nothing is breaking up my congestion. Any home remedies?
I don’t have vics vapor rub in the house, so anything that doesn’t require me going to the drugstore would help.
Thanks!

Try a hot bath. Hot as you can stand it–careful not to scald yourself. Soak in it for a while as the water cools down. It will definitely relax you and should help the congestion.

Hot herbal tea or a fragrant tea such as Earl Grey or Oolong will also help. With a cold, time is your ally and friend. They usually run their course and break up on your own. The hot bath is also good if you are running a fever.

I am very much a believer in the power of a hot bath. I take one every evening, regardless of how I am feeling. I’m 67 years young and have no issues with arthritis or joint pains.and I consider the hot bath to be the real Fountain of Youth.

Reclining or lying down should also help reduce the drainage that is causing the cough. I’ve got one of those, too, darn it, and I’m taking Mentholyptus cough drops and drinking hot teas to relieve it.

Old Home Remedies: How to treat Acid Reflux without antacids or drugs

Reflux Home Remedies have been a very popular over the last ten years. Like research on acid reflux has been extended to natural remedies, many experts rethink what was once thought to natural health. In fact, many doctors recommend natural resources, and medicines for GERD (gastroesophageal reflux).

Let me explain why you should try to reflux home remedies instead of antacids or medicine.

Healing Your Body

The problem with Antacids and drugs most is that you can only take 2 weeks max. The reason is that the FDA has found that taking these medicines, a substance in the body is called gastrin. Studies have shown that gastrin can cause cancer. Thus, moderation in the use of both drugs are antacids and acid reflux is extremely important.

Even antacids and reflux medicine has nothing to do with healing the cause of reflux. Both antacids and drugs do not work becauseneutralize stomach acid refluxed. But if you want to cure acid reflux, you have the problem that is a damaged lower esophageal sphincter (muscle flap at the top of the stomach) and esophagus (the tube carrying food to the stomach) for treatment.

Fortunately treatment is a reflux disease is relatively easy compared to other diseases. Here are some simple tips you can start today.

5 Reflux Home Remedies’ to test days

1 Honey is a good way to startwith. Because acid reflux is caused by the damaged tissue of the esophagus and sphincter, you can begin to heal tissue present in honey. Honey is a great way to cure all types of tissue. Take 1 teaspoon of honey before bedtime and 2 other times during the day.

2 While the esophagus and sphincter to heal, you should avoid all foods that are crunchy and sour. Soft foods tend to do without scratching the tissues. In 3 days, you should try a soft clothnonacidic dietetic foods. (Avoid alcohol, coffee and cigarettes for 3 days.)

3. Another simple thing you can do is to drink water after each meal or snack. The water will penetrate the sphincter muscle is a seal on his stomach, leaving a small chance that stomach acid can be refluxed.

4 apple cider vinegar is also a common solution. However, the vinegar taste terrible, so you can use water to dilute and honey to taste better. It isrecommend 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar is used daily to stimulate the levels of acid in the stomach. This helps digestion in the stomach.

5 Your diet is very important. Eat meals and snacks only the size of your fist. Eating large meals will lead to acid reflux and acid. Try a diet of water and eating a diet rich in soluble fiber (fruits and rawvegetables).

What are some simple remedies or cures for hives???

Thanks for the details…Tom Science 4

Hi Thomas

Here are some remedies and answers on hives.

Cause
The most common cause of hives is a histamine reaction that is triggered by allergies, especially to certain foods, such as strawberries, fish, shellfish, peanuts, soy, beef, citrus fruits, milk, and eggs. Drugs such as penicillin and exposure to chemicals, including those in common household products such as laundry soap, can also cause hives. To ensure long-term relief from hives, such factors must be screened for and addressed.

——————————…

Natural Cures

Aromatherapy: Chamomile essential oil applied topically can help relieve symptoms.

Diet: Identify and avoid all foods to which you are allergic or sensitive. To minimize the occurrence of hives, eat a varied diet and avoid eating the same foods more than more than once or twice each week.

Flower Essences: Rescue Remedy Cream® applied topically can also help.

Herbs: Drink parsley or peppermint teas. Peppermint oil taken orally can also help.

Homeopathy: The homeopathic remedies Apis mel., Nat mur., and Urtica Urens. are all useful for treating and preventing hives.

Hydrotherapy: Hydrotherapy is the application of water, ice, steam and hot and cold temperatures to maintain and restore health. Treatments include full body immersion, steam baths, saunas, sitz baths, colonic irrigation and the application of hot and/or cold compresses. Hydrotherapy is effective for treating a wide range of conditions and can easily be used in the home as part of a self-care program. Many Naturopathic Physicians, Physical Therapists and Day Spas use Hydrotherapy as part of treatment. I suggest several at-home hydrotherapy treatments.

Nutritional Supplementation: Hydrochloric acid secretions in the stomach are usually low in people with hives. Vitamin B complex deficiency is also common among hives patients. Therefore, supplementing with betaine hydrochloric acid (HCL) and vitamin B complex is highly recommended. Pancreatic enzymes taken three to four times daily on empty stomach, especially during the initial attack of hives, is also helpful, as are bromelain and vitamin C (also taken away from meals).

During a hives outbreak, take two tablets of bicarbonate soda in water, and sip every 15 minutes until symptoms ease.

To prevent a recurrence of hives, supplement with bioflavonoids and pantothenic acid, vitamin B complex, vitamin B6, and essential fatty acids.

Topical Treatment: To the affected area, apply a mix of calamine lotion with beta carotene liquid, or a vitamin A capsule squeezed together with zinc oxide. If neither of these remedies is available, applying plain unflavored yogurt to the affected area might also help ease symptoms.

Fresh coriander juice applied topically can also help relieve itchiness and inflammation.

Best of health to you

What home remedies can you use for fungus on yellow toenails?

I have notice that my toenails have recently started changing into yellowish color is there like any home remedies to fix it? And like this white buildup is making my toenails thick.

Okay just search Google for random ideas. But let me tell you this. Getting rid of toenail fungus takes constant applications for 6 months to a year. Seriously. That’s how long it takes to get rid of it. So before it gets worse, and before you try stuff that probably don’t work, just go and buy an OTC fungal cream for toenails since you KNOW that will work. Don’t waste your time.
If you want to experiment the only ‘home remedy’ is tea tree oil, but this is very irritating to a lot of people and you have to be careful about the ‘dosage’ you apply. Plus keep your nails clean and dry obviously.

The OTC stuff can only be applied to 2 or POSSIBLY 3, but I think 2 is the maximum you can treat at a time. Over the entire year/half year. So run out now and get some!! Before you get it in your other toes!
If it gets into all 5 you will be at it for a possible 3 years!!

What are some home/herbal remedies for major depression?

i’ve been diagnosed as having major depression, and the drs. were unsure if I am bipolar. i have tried several medications and have had awful side effects, from hallucinations to becoming a complete insomniac. i therefore do not wish to try any more medications. i am severely depressed, for an extensive period(around 8 months) and have put on a substantial amount of weight, socially isolated myself for the most part and generally just don’t care. i am looking for any home or herbal remedies. thank you.

There is some evidence to suggest that Bipolar individuals do not assimilate the B vitamins properly so some doctors recommend indictable mega doses of B complex for them. This is a anti-stress vitamin complex anyway.

Also, highly recommended is a combination of Fish oil caps and Evening Primrose oil. St. John’s Wort is a mild anti-depressant but should not be taken in conjunction with other anti-depressants as this could overdose your serotonin levels.

Aerobic exercise is also proven to release good chemicals in the brain.

If you are Bipolar, it is important for you and/or loved ones to keep track of your phases so that you can discontinue any anti-depressants when you shift to normal phase. If you don’t they can possibly trigger a major manic episode. This is dangerous.

Finding the Right Old Home Remedy That Works for You By Amber Jonas

Finding the Right Old Home Remedy That Works for You

By

Regardless of the medical condition that you are suffering from, people have access to a natural healing remedy through herbalists, holistic, homeopathic and alternative medicine providers and suppliers.

Many people are dedicated to a lifestyle that is governed by natural healing remedies, because they know that these remedies work for them. Since most treatments only address the symptoms and not the problem, healing often will take longer and the self-discipline that is need by patients when they are using a natural healing remedy is sometimes lost on those people that don’t want to take responsibility for their own health.

Rather, they go to a physician and let the doctor decide what is wrong and what treatment is needed to cure their aliment. These treatments can be successful; but for those people that would like to receive natural health care methods, they should find a doctor that is familiar with natural healing remedies and is willing to use them during treatment at the patient request.

Holistic healers insist on the detoxification of the body, this done to remove all of the harmful toxins stored in the body. Detoxification can be either mild or extreme, depending on the amount of toxins being stored in a persons body, and extreme detoxification can cause what is known as a healing crisis.

Many Herbs Aid in Healing Process

The Aloe Vera plant, which is unique to Africa, has 25 pointed leaves on its body, that each contain a gel, that has been known to aid the body in healing burns, cuts and abrasions. It is considered to be one of the best natural herbal healing remedies.

Ginger is another highly touted herb that is used for muscle and joint pain relief and has been said to help ease the pain of migraine headaches. It is also used to combat nausea, vomiting and irritated bowel syndrome, making it a revered natural healing remedy. Ginger also tends to raise blood pressure so make sure that you consult your doctor before using it, especially if you already suffer from hypertension.

Ginkgo Biloba helps increasing memory, as well as improving the libido. It has also been reported to reduce breast soreness and mood swings that take place during episodes of PMS. Overall, Ginkgo Biloba is used as a natural healing remedy by many herbalists.

Kava, from the south Pacific, is a member of the peppercorn family and is highly regarded as a mood enhancer. It has been found to aid in fatigue and anxiety and produce a cheerful feeling bordering on intoxication.
